Nutritional information:

Bone marrow is the spongy tissue inside the bone. Of particular interest is the red bone marrow which is abundant when the living organism is young and getting less as it becomes old. It carries out multiple important functions of the body. It forms the red and white blood cells and the platelet. It is a very important part of the immune system that works together with other immune organs such as the thymus and spleen. Being a very active regenerative organ, the bone marrow contains a lot of stem cells. The two types of stem cells it produces are haemopoietic stem cells which form the various blood cells and components, and mesenchymal stem cells which are multipotent and form fat, cartilage, bone, fibrous connective tissue and stromal cell that support blood formation. Bone marrow is used to treat various degenerative conditions and blood diseases including cancers because of its regenerative ability and the stem cells it contains. PON Bovine Bone Marrow is harvested form neonatal calves which have the youngest, most abundant and potent red bone marrow.
